Ingredients

2 cups unsalted butter (4 sticks), softened to room temperature

4 cups sugar

2 teaspoons salt

8 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

½ teaspoon almond extract

6 cups all-purpose flour

2 jars Grandma Hoerner’s Cherry Pie Filling

2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon almond extract

4-6 Tablespoons milk

Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, cream 2 cups unsalted butter (4 sticks), softened to room temperature, 4 cups sugar and 2 teaspoons salt until light and fluffy.
Add 8 large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in 2 teaspoons vanilla extract and ½ teaspoon almond extract.
Gradually add 6 cups all-purpose flour.
Spread 6 cups dough each into two greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Spread 1 jar Grandma Hoerner’s Cherry Pie Filling on each pan evenly on top.
Drop remaining dough by teaspoonfuls over filling. Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack.
In a small bowl, mix 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon almond extract and about 4-6 Tablespoons milk to reach desired consistency; drizzle over top.
